Project management

The deal is the project.

There is no board to set up and nothing to keep in step. The obligations in the documents become the work, and the work always opens on the clause behind it.

Tasks and milestones from the documents.

Payment dates, notices and tests become tasks, recurring tasks and milestones when a deal is set up. Each is assigned to a deal role and opens the clause that created it.

Each task assigned to a role, with its due date and the evidence that closes it.

Done means proven.

A task that needs proof is done when the proof is attached, and a task completed by a report arriving is closed with that report as its proof.

Amendments update the work.

When an amendment moves a date, the task it created is replaced and the reason is recorded. The earlier task stays on the record. A task someone adds by hand is marked as not from a document.

Assigned to a role, not a person.

Work is assigned to the role on the deal, and the deal's directory says who holds it. When a role has no holder, a task to fill it is opened, and it closes when the role is filled.

One timeline across the book.

Every deal's dates and tasks on a single timeline, across all the deals you hold. Filter it by role, stage, date or deal type, or open the saved view for your role.
